The Netgear WGR614 simply connects to the modem supplied to you by your cable broadband provider (Virgin Media most likely) to share your broadband.



It is compatible with both PC and Mac computers, and also with the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and the PSP.

No problem - the Netgear WGT624 has 4 Ethernet ports, so in addition to connecting as many devices as you like wirelessly, you can connect up to 4 devices using Ethernet cables.

- Ethernet based broadband connection - a Virgin Media cable modem, for example. An ADSL phoneline modem with an Ethernet port is compatible with the Netgear WGR614 also.

- 802.11b/g wireless adapter, or Ethernet adapter and cable for each computer to connect to the router. Some computers and consoles have wireless connectivity built-in - check the user manual if you're not sure.
