Photographs and descriptions

Photos are always of the actual item being auctioned – I never use ‘stock’ photos. All items are available for viewing before bidding by prior arrangement - but please note that I don’t sell outside of eBay. Any sizes or weights quoted are approximate. If the item has any dents, dings, dust, rips, tears, holes, stains, scratches, chips, breaks, woodworm, rot, rust, corrosion, chips, crazing, cracking  or wear and tear that I am aware of, it will be in the description. However very, very occasionally descriptive errors can occur as I am not infallible or an expert on anything in particular. As the majority of my items are vintage or used, dings, wear and tear etc. etc. will generally be a part of the item which gives it character. As a general rule, I do not clean vintage items prior to posting - this retains the patina and allows the buyer the choice of how they wish their items to look. If items are intended for ‘display’ only, this will be clearly stated in the description. Planters are brushed of lose soil but not washed. I don’t list any used modern cookware that isn’t clean.

Collection and Postage

Collection

I am always happy for items to be collected. Please contact me after the winning bid to arrange a mutually convenient collection time. If items are collected, they must either have been pre-paid by Paypal or cash (£s) on collection. Un-cleared cheques will not be accepted for collected items. Unless otherwise stated on the listing, collection is from Blakesley, near Towcester, Northamptonshire NN12. I do not give out my phone numbers under any circumstances - all collection arrangements will be detailed through eBay email.

Postage

The postage quoted on the auction page is for UK postage only and will include an allowance for packing. Most of my packing materials are recycled but they still incur a cost and considerable time in packing.

As my feedback testifies, I clearly address and pack items really well, so I accept no responsibility for items lost or damaged in postal or courier transit. Items will have been packed in the condition that they appear in the listing. I always have a certificate of posting. Should the item go astray in the post I am happy to supply the winning bidder with a copy of the postal receipt and a description of the item sent.

The village Post Office is not open every day, so please bear with me if parcels appear to have a day or two’s delay in being shipped. If your item is urgent, please let me know and I will do my best to post it quickly.

Combining items

I am happy to combine items if possible, to reduce postage cost.

Postage outside of the UK

Please check with me before bidding if the item needs to be sent outside of the UK. As a very general guide, if the post rate quoted is ‘standard  parcel post’ and costs over £6, then the item exceeds the 2 kilo max weight carried overseas by the Post Office and items will have to be sent by other carriers. Regardless of destination I will only ship using the Post Office. I do not arrange courier service under any circumstances. If other carriers are to be used, the winning bidder must arrange and pay for a courier to pack and collect the item and liaise with me to arrange a convenient collection time from my registered eBay address. Where possible, for a charge I am happy to pack small items for collection by couriers for onward shipping worldwide.

Payment methods

I accept cash (GBP £s only) for in-person transactions (face-to-face collection). Please do not send cash through the post. I also accept cheques (£s), postal orders (£s) or Paypal in GBP £’s only. No items will be despatched until cheques have cleared.

Ending auctions

Sorry, but I don’t end auctions early or change live listings to ‘buy it now’. I don’t sell outside of ebay whilst items are listed, so please don’t ask. If you miss an item and the item hasn’t sold please feel free to contact me and check if I am re-listing it.

Feedback

I always leave feedback, but only after feedback has been left for me. In the unlikely event that you have a problem with any of my items, please contact me before leaving negative feedback and I will do my best to resolve any issues.

Refunds

If you are unhappy with your purchase please contact me within 2 days of receipt and I will do my best to resolve any issues.
