A vintage salt and pepper set with the shakers being squat birds, perhaps quail. There are no marks so I don't know what they are made from but my feeling is they are probably Chinese and silver. The two birds sit in an oval open weave basket which is 4" high to the top of the handle x 6" long x 3.25" wide. The set is in excellent condition.
