Horse Brass of the Historic Lancashire Rose. The Red Rose of the Royal House of England from 1399 – 1461. Henry 4TH, Henry 5th and Henry 6th. Where the only three royal Kings. This is a large brass 80mm in diameter, individually cast in sand of solid English Brass, the finest in the world.

The origin of the Horse Brass goes back many centuries, when man first used the horse extensively on the land. The superstitions prevalent at this time required a symbol to protect the horse from accident or injury and Horse Brasses were believed to have the supernatural powers to ward off evil spirits and prevent catastrophe. There are many hundreds of designs with the origins in the past and even today new designs are being created to commemorate places of interest, historical buildings, royalty and the famous in our society, present and past. Horse Brasses have become one of the greatest collectors item for generations.
