~*~This buy it now is for this beautiful, 100% hand-woven roll of vintage European hemp/linen  roll  ~

I am selling this lovely roll by the one yard lengths, so each purchase is for a length that measures 1 yard long by 19.29 inches wide~ ( 91cm by 49cm) ~ should you require further lengths, simply change the quantity button. All lengths are uncut so you will relieve one long length. eg should you require a 4 yard piece, simply change the quantity button to 4 ~*~ ~*~* ( roll C) ( this roll has 10 yards total at the beginning of this buy it now)

This is a WONDERFUL roll of  linen. This lovely roll is a fine weave , a very balanced tabby weave, or plain weave.  This roll would have been used to create sheeting or other household textiles like clothing. ~*~* This roll was considered much finer and was field bleached and  and most likely boiled to achieve this lovely pale cream tone.. ~*~ This wonderful roll was used throughout Europe for clothing, bedding and other household textiles. This roll has a very fine weave, lovely heavy weight. The tone is a natural cream tone. When I unrolled this wonderful textile, the sound of the linen made the most amazing WOBBLE sound, it is truly very very high quality, antique hand-woven beauty~*~* This textile is perfect for clothing, upholstery, pillows, embroidery, kitchen towels, napkins, clothing, curtains. I love knowing that these textiles are eco-friendly ~ wonderful wonderful textiles indeed ~*~*

This roll is in wonderful condition~ unwashed, unused!  Just some light storage dirt marks that will wash~ LOVELY ~*~ Wonderful~~ Easily machine washable, please see instructions~

 ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen

 ~*~ These rolls are 100%  machine washable, warm..if there is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally~ this presses the linen and there is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect). They can be dried in a dryer also! I like to add Downy Ultra to my last rinse cycle for an added touch of softness~  Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage  . These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! ~ The average age of these rolls is about 100 years old, they are wonderful textile treasures~*~ Hemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms~*~

 All of my linen rolls are produced using natural fibers. Natural fibers have the irregularities and subtleties that are inherent ...adding to their rustic charm~*~

Ebay define an antique as a textile dating 1930 or prior. I describe my textiles as Vintage if I feel the textiles has age, or is outdated or old-fashioned, dating from the past. If I use both Antique/Vintage when describing a textile, it is because I feel the textile is most likely 100 years of age or greater, but may fall just short of that date. I often work in collaboration with other colleagues and textile specialists to ascertain the approximate age of my textiles, however it is my professional assessment only~*~I also use my best professional assessment to ascertain the fiber content of my textiles, using sight and feel and when possible historical information that helps me to identify plant use in a particular era.
