Vintage Wool Regulation Army Officer's Overcoat Coat
Terrific vintage wool coat bears the label REGULATION ARMY OFFICER'S OVERCOAT. It is made of thick, heavy wool in olive drab, designed for freezing temps. Coat is double breasted and fully lined. Features include large notched collar, sewn-in epaulet style shoulders, two exterior flap pockets (one with a smaller coin pocket inside), back vent, interior French-style pocket near the label, a buttoned in chevron-style piece of fabric on the inside, plus two interior rows of tiny buttons made of "apple juice" bakelite.
No size label. Chest measures 40" around the pits, is 34" long measured from top of collar to hem. Sleeve is 25".
Coat is crisp and clean inside and out. No tears, or stains. There are a few tiny places where moths have nibbled at the surface of the wool. This is very thick fabric, however, and there are no holes.
