Vintage WWI Prussian Helmet ? Picklehaube ?

This auction is for a Vintage WWI Prussian helmet (I believe) which is worn as can be seen and has no markings I can find but there are some small holes to the front where something is missing and holes to the side for a strap to be attached. There is a hole in the top under the metal decoration as can be seen, visible from the inside only. UK Bidders:

Items which sell for up to £36.00 will be sent via first class post.

Items which sell for up to £100 will be sent via 1st Class Recorded or Parcel with Insurance

Items which sell for over £100 will be sent via Special Delivery or Parcel with insurance

You can of course upgrade any postage if you prefer. The P&P quoted does include a small amount for packaging but I do try to keep costs as low as possible! I always obtain a certificate of posting which covers up to £36.00 in the event of loss. If the items sells for more than this I would be happy to quote for special delivery or standard parcel with insurance, please just ask at the end of the auction! Although I cannot be held responsible if an item should go missing in the post I will do everything I can to try and help and will either let you have the proof of posting/tracking details to make a claim from Royal Mail or submit the claim on your behalf.

Overseas Bidders:

All overseas items selling for more than £36.00 are sent with tracking. P&P quoted above is for shipping to UK addresses only. As a rough quide international shipping for light items (weighing 1kg or less when packaged) is approx treble the UK rate for airmail and roughlydouble that of the UK for surface mail. There are exceptions to this especially for heavy items where shipping can get VERY expensive - please do not hesitate to ask for a quote! Again although I cannot be held responsible if an item should go missing in the post I will do everything I can to try and help and will either let you have the tracking details to make a claim from Royal Mail or submit the claim on your behalf.

Insurance for Paypal Payments:

Important - please note. As part of the Buyer Protection Programme for Paypal they insist that all items are sent by a trackable method. If you are paying by cheque or bank transfer you may choose not to have your item sent with tracking (as detailed above, applies to items costing over £36.00) but paypal payment for items costing over £36.00 must be sent tracked.

Shipping Times:

We try to dispatch every item the very next working day after cleared payments have been recieved. Our working postal days are Tuesday to Friday every week.

We try to provide as much information as we can about every item that we list, along with detailed and close up photos. We are not experts in any way and can only describe items as we see them. Please make sure to check if you have any specific questions or requirements.

Untested Items

Sometimes we may have to list an item as untested if we have no way of checking it. Untested items are sold as seen and we cannot refund if the item does not work.

Clothing

We sell BNWT clothing. If you purchase one of these items and find it doesn't fit then you are more than welcome to return for a refund but I'm afraid we could not refund any of the postage costs! This does not affect our general refunds policy for misdescribed items etc as detailed below.

Refunds

We will gladly refund in full including all postage costs if we misdescribe an item - we do try our very best but are only human and mistakes can be made. We cannot refund simply for a change of mind. We pack very carefully but I'm afraid cannot be held responsible for damage by the postal service - if you have any worries at all then you are always more than welcome to collect your item. We will of course assist you in any way in making a claim to Royal Mail for damage. Insurance can be taken out to safeguard against damage but china or glass items being sent overseas cannot be insured against damage so please bear this in mind when bidding especially as can be in the post for a very long time in some cases.

We have a small shop just outside Chester. You are more than welcome to collect any of the items we have listed to save on the P&P and our opening hours are:
