~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~

~*~This buy it now is for this beautiful, 100% hand-woven roll of vintage European hemp/linen  roll  measuring ~*~(14.2yards) 42.6 feet long by 20 inches wide (13meters by 51cm) ~*~*

This roll is a lovely, hand-woven roll of linen with a fine weave and slightly nubby and slubby texture. This roll has so much charm ~*~ What a beauty. The linen is lovely and pale, wonderful Swedish Gustavian look tones, it is just beautiful. The fabric is densely woven, very durable, perfect for upholstery. So easy to care for~*~ One of my designers just sent me some photographs of 2 chairs he has just upholstered using a very similar bolt of linen to this~*~* beautiful! ( chairs not included in this buy it now :)

Perfect for slipcovers, curtains, upholstery, pillows, tablecloths, napkins, clothing....you name it!  This would make amazing heirloom projects! ~*~ it is another wonderful textile treasure~*~ This linen is just beautiful when seamed for larger projects~ if you require larger amounts of linen please email me as my backstock is vast and I can usually match larger quantities for large projects~*~ ~*~* *~*

This roll is in wonderful condition~ this roll has some light storage dirt that will wash, it is just lovely! . ~

~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:STUNNING table runners~*~Upholstery,  bedding, cushions, curtains, clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~

~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen

~*~ These rolls are 100%  machine washable, on 40 or 60 celcius..if there is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally~ this presses the linen and there is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect).  Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage ( I always list the content so if it doesn't . These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! New Hemp can be soaked in water for 3 days and then washed on regular cycle to soften or one can use liquid fabric softener if desired. Most of my rolls don't tend to need any additional help with softening as they have a lovely texture as is~ The average age of these rolls is about 100 years old, they are wonderful textile treasures~*~ Hemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms~*~

All of my linen rolls are produced using natural fibers. Natural fibers have the irregularities and subtleties that are inherent ...adding to their rustic charm~*~

These rolls are increasingly difficult to find as they have been used so extensively over the past 20 years. This is a wonderful opportunity to own your own piece of textile history~*~
