You are bidding on:

A Large Vintage Swan Brand Preserving or Jam pan from my collection.

The pan is made of aluminium with a hinged steel lifting handle and a steel pouring grip to the rear. The large steel lifting handle can be locked in an upright position, as the handle locates in two lugs in the hinge brackets. Or if required it can be easily swung out of the way to a down position.

The pan has a rolled wired top lip which adds rigidity to the pan without adding weight. The rivets on the lifting handle and the pouring grip are nice and tight and the pan is in good used condition.

The pan does have a few scratches and a few tiny dents, but none are unsightly and nothing that you would not expect on a period piece such as this.

The pan measures 12 inches in diameter at its widest part and stands 6 inches tall. It holds 1.5 Gallons in capacity with ease.

I have had it in my personal collection for several years now. It is a light-weight pan which has a flat bottom and hence it can be used on AGA or Rayburn ranges as well as conventional gas hobs or even the ultra modern halagon hobs. It holds 1.5 Gallons and is ideal for making chutneys or jams etc.

It has the "Swan Brand" name and logo stamped to the side - as you will see in one of the photos.

With such a large capacity it is a valuable aquisition to any kitchen.

This is pan was made in the United Kingdom by the Swan Brand and should not be confused with some of the cheap imports that are currently on the market.

Up for auction at a low start and No reserve. So happy bidding.
