Vintage Sterling Silver and Mother of Pearl Collapsible Dip Pen c 1908

This is a rather rare dip pen which has an upper body made of Mother of Pearl, that is collapsible and made circa 1908 in Birmingham.

The pen is beautifully hand engraved.

The mother of pearl body collapses into the the silver part as shown in the pictures.

The nib, which is removable,  is stamped with the following:

Wm Mitchell Pedigree "Round Hand" England.

There is also a number 4 on the nib.

An interesting and unusual item.

Magnificent craftsmenship and a true collectors item.

Marks:

T.H.V., Birmingham, Sterling Silver, Date Mark of 1908.

Length 14.5 cm approx
When collapsed 10.5 cm approx

Condition: Appears in good condition with no breaks or chips to the Mother of Pearl.  The nib appears in good servicable condition.
