“THERE WAS AN OLD WOMAN WHO LIVED IN A SHOE - SHE HAD SO MANY CHILDREN SHE DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO.”
This is a wonderful fully dimensional vintage 1960s silver charm modelled on the famous old nursery rhyme,” old woman who lived in a shoe”. This is a miniature boot that hinges open to reveal the enamelled old women and her……. so many children that she didn’t know what to do….. (three children with her today) all queuing in line (a great English past-time) waiting to be fed. This wonderfully detailed charm is a fine example of workmanship at its best; even the hobnails can be seen on the sole of the boot, along with cut out windows and a tiled roof with a chimney. The enamel figures are particularly pleasing as they are so colourful and well done.
Weighs in at 2.5 grams approx.
Measurements: 5/8 inch in Length by just under ½ inch tall by ¼ inch wide approx when closed.
Condition: In very good original condition.
Defects: None, the hinge is working perfectly.
This little work of art is stamped silver to the side of the shoe….and from a vintage 1960s English charm bracelet.
A superb and fun charm, a wonderful addition to any vintage silver nursery rhyme bracelet – do not miss it!!!!
