Selected Quality Silk Hat!

I really do not know much about the top hat but I will do my best to describe the hat and content as best as possible.

Purchased it from an estate.  Comes with original cardboard box with inserts and also small horse hair brush ( I assummed).  This brush sure does put this hat into gorgeous shape. I think this hat is victorian era hat. I will let you be the judge.

Hat circumferenes is 55 cms or 21.75" which translated to approx. 6 7/8 US and 6 3/4 UK size and 14 cms high or 5.5".  Inside has brown leather band. Marked "F'" Selected Quality Silk Hat Recognized Standard of Excellent". Brush has marked "Tires U S".  Hat is in very good condition.  There is 2 tiny tiny stains.  I believe they were water marks.  Also, hat has a few of tiny worn of stiches due to the ages.  But the silk it self are perfect and when brushed just beautiful.

 Q: What is internal circumference? Hat size?
A: Internal circumference is 55cm, external circumference is 60.5cm. While re measuring the hat, the stitches around both end of the hat came loose more. Probably has to be restitched. Thanks
