This buy it now is for this wonderful, Vintage European hand-woven, pure heavy hemp Stair runner roll~*~ 

I am selling this roll by the yard, so each purchase will be a lenght of the roll measuring 1 yard by 19 inches wide ( 91cm by 48cm) ~*~ Should you require long lengths of this textile, simply change the quantity button to the number of yards you require. All lengths are left uncut so you will receive one long  continuous length~*~To view the number of yards remaining on any of my rolls, please see the quantity section at the top of the auction~*~ HOWEVER I have MANY more yards of this available, however ebay only allow 10 of any item listed at one time, so please email me if you  should require a longer length than is showing available~*~* (24 yards available at the beginning of this buy it now~) I always combine postage, so please email me for postage rates as ebay's calculator will overcharge both for the shipping and the insurance~*~* So if purchasing multiple yards, simply email me for an invoice for combined shipping~*~*  ~*~*

  This Buy it now textile is this wonderful and rustic roll of antique / vintage european heavy,  hand-woven hemp/linen .

This is  a lovely runner roll, very heavy and VERY durable. Hemp is one of the most durable fibers available~ this wonderful textile has a burgundy toned stripe and a  warm oatmeal tone~ The weave is a herringbone weave, LOVELY and very durable.~*~This roll is produced using pure hemp~*~These textiles were built to withstand 2 generations of constant use, so will stand the test of time as a runner~*~  I have sold many many of these rolls as stair runners and people have raved about them for a very long time. To measure your stairs to find out the yardage required , the easiest thing to do is to take a piece of string, and run it along the stairs as you would the runner~ including any landings you wish to cover. Then simply measure the string! ~*~*  Fitting is usually done with underlay and then either tacked to the stairs or stair rods can be used. This roll would also be wonderful cut into smaller rugs, table runners, stair runners or hallway carpeting OR would make a very rustic table runner~ it has a wonderful unique look, very special indeed~*~ ~*~!!! It would  give so much warmth and flair to any room! ~*~  ( I have attached a couple of photographs of my runners in use~ so beautiful, so unique ~ a lovely piece of textile history; brought back to add beauty to our lives today~*~

Condition: This roll is in unused condition. There is some light storage dirt, however this roll is in wonderful wonderful condition~ ready to lay! ! These are so easy to maintain, simply vacuum clean, and spot treat if needed. ~*~spot cleaning is easy or cleaning with conventional carpet cleaner when needed from time to time~*~* Postage depends on the number of lengths purchases.  ~*~*~ To measure stairs for stair runners,the easiest way is to lay a piece of string on the stairs and landing to be covered and then measure the string! ~*~ this way you get the yardage required for your stairs.  To lay these textiles couldn't be more simple. Simply lay a thin felt underlay, or even just the non slip carpet material, then staple or tack the runner into place. Some people like to use stair rods as well~*~* Wonderfully easy to lay and most people do it themselves~*~*The ends can be folded under and tacked or stapled into place~ they can also be cut and seamed to make a turn in the landing~ Cleaning is easy also, simply vacuum when needed, and can be cleaned with a carpet cleaner also~*~ wonderfully easy to maintain !
