1. Unless stated, all of our clothing items are pre-worn. Most are vintage and may be up to 70 years old. Any damage/stains or defects will be noted in the item description and the start prices will reflect any damage to items. I do not mention general signs of wear - ie, signs of wear through repeated laundering, slight bobbling, minor fading, loose threads etc - such wear should be expected when buying pre-worn clothing.
2. We buy our vintage and used clothing and textiles from a number or different sources - therefore, there is a possibility that some of them may have been stored for some time and that some may have a musty 'vintage' smell, or smoke odours from past owners. We do not have the time or money to deep clean every single item, preferring instead to start the auctions at a lower price so that high bidders can deep clean the clothes themselves if they feel it to be necessary. If you feel that you may be offended by such odours (although, not all vintage clothes will have them) please do not bid.
3. We do not give refunds for items that do not fit - actual garment measurements are given in the description (when there is no size mentioned on a label). To ensure a good fit - compare the sizes given with one of your own favourite fitting garments. 'Actual' measurements mean the dimensions of a garment - it is best to add a couple of inches onto your usual size. I tend not to estimate sizes as a standard size can differ from one manufacturer to another. Unfortunately, there are no changing rooms when buying 'unseen' so buyer beware!
4. Please note that colours may appear different from one computer monitor to another. You also have to factor in camera flash/daylight etc.
5. Finally, if you do have cause to email me with a problem or complaint - please try and be polite!! Like most people, I respond far better to a reasonable email. Don't just assume that I'm going to ignore your problem and email me hurling abuse and accusations - that's the best way to get someone's back up and you can only expect the same in return! I am a reasonable person and will go out of my way to resolve any issues - threatening negative feedback, etc really doesn't work with me!!
