Vintage PRE-ROLA 1966 Celestion G12M Greenback speaker

Here we have an original pre-rola Celestion greenback G12M speaker in perfect working order. The specs for this 'holy grail' of speaker are: Type 1, G12M, 25watts, 16ohms, 75 c/s bass resonance. T1217 lead cone introduced in May 1966. Black tab speaker terminals. Chassis date code - LC4 = 4th March 1966. This has recently been removed from a very old 'homebuilt' 2x12 speaker cab from the 1960's along with a matching G12H speaker. Please see my other auctions. The speaker itself sounds incredible when i recently tested it with my 1965 Marshall JTM 45, and just oozed 'Beano' tones with ease and superb sustain. A truly excellent vintage G12M which has not ever been reconed or been messed with and a rare oppertunity to aquire the 'holy grail' of guitar speakers. NO RESERVE AUCTION. I have just been informed that the correct date of manufacture according to the date code is 4th November 1970 and is the type 2 G12 speaker and not type one as previously thought. Dating Celestion speakers can be a little tricky and the correct format for this speaker according to 'The History of marshall book' is: L = MONTH, C = YEAR, 4 = Day of month = 4th November 1970. Sorry for any confusion.
