Vintage Hermes silk scarf -le Bois de Boulogne

This scarf is being relisted due to timewasting. Please note that it is marked as we have described, and not as new-we have added 2 more photos to try to show the stains.

A Hermes silk scarf 35" x 33" with an inverted handrolled edge.

Titled le Bois de Boulogne.

 We have not come across this design before - so to us it is unusual and we think that this scarf has some age to it. The silk is very thick and not crisp but very soft (almost sticky) and the colours seem old fashioned.

There are no labels attached or designer name-the small c is in the bottom left corner.

This scarf does have many marks on it -notably bottom right near Hermes (see photo) ,and top left corner on the border and cream silk where the silk is very grubby and mottled with pale brown marks (again see photo which just makes them out but they are visible), and a small black pen like mark to the left of the centre.

There are also some runs -again on the top border where 1 has a pluck this is towards the left corner where the marks are,and there is another run beneath this again with a pluck.There is  also a vertical run to the right of the swans in the centre-this has a pluck/loose thread on the back of it.

Also a couple of pulls in the silk on the right side blue border.

So the condition is far from perfect, but this is nevertheless a lovely vintage Hermes of gorgeous silk. 

We have not attempted to clean this scarf and have tried to give an accurate description of its condition.Buyers should always contact us  if they are disappointed with their items.
