Vintage French crochet curtain panel floral motif lace

~ This textile, is a wonderful crochet curtain panel  dating c 1920

Lovely , crochet curtain panel with original rings~! I am not certain if this panel is hand made, or machine made, but it is lovely! ~ This textile is made from 100% natural cotton all hand worked. There is a lovely floral motif on this vintage  textile~*~  These were very popular in the 1920's and they are French. There are 9 original rings at the top of this textile ~ this textile would be a charming way to bring light to a room, beautiful used today for a window treatment~*~

This panel measures 89 inches long with an additional 9 inches of hand tied fringe at the bottom. The width is approx. 54 inches wide ~ This textile is in original unwashed condition ( important to some collectors) There are storage marks on this piece, that should all wash beautifully. No stains, just quite dirty from being stored for so long! ~*~ I see no damage on this textile at all! ~ Lovely condition, Once cleaned will be good as new! ~*~ ( I have a matching panel , please see my other auctions~*~ ) ( panel TWO)

I have had many years of research and hands on experience with these wonderful textiles. I describe items as Antique if I estimate the age to be 100 years of age or greater. EBay currently define an antique as dating to 1930 or earlier. I describe items as Vintage, as per the dictionary definition, if I feel the textile has age, or is outdated or old-fashioned, dating from the past. If I use both Antique/Vintage when describing a textile, it is because I feel the textile is most likely 100 years of age or greater, but may fall just short of that date. I often work in collaboration with other colleagues and textile specialists to ascertain the approximate age of my textiles, however ultimately any statement of age is a matter of best judgment only~*~I also use my best professional judgment to ascertain the fiber content of my textiles, using sight and feel and where possible historical information and context to help me to identify plants used in a particular era.
