Vintage EASTER Postcard: Rabbit Selling Colored Eggs

·         Original Vintage Post Card – this is NOT a reproduction

·         Measures: 3-5/8” x 5-1/2”

·         Circa: 1900’s - 1910’s

 

Take a step back in history and view this vintage Easter holiday postcard. The postcard is embossed and was printed in Germany – the front of the postcard indicates this is number “S.1121.”

 

“A Joyous Easter” is in blue by the upper left corner. The postcard features a Rabbit selling colored egg. The bunny rabbit is standing in front of a giant egg (maybe his home). Colored eggs are in all types of baskets and there is a table with a measuring scale. The rabbit is holding a bouquet of eggs and it looks like it is for his customer (the baby chick).

 

Condition

There are NO Rips. There are corner bumps (with some rounded corners) and some edge wear. There is 1 small (1/4” long) crease that is located in a corner. There is some crackling in the embossed area. See the photos in the auction so you can see for yourself the condition of this vintage postcard. This postcard will be shipped in a protective sleeve with cardboard around it to protect it during shipping.
