  Vintage Danish Modernist Ceramic Round Flower Ring 

 
Up for auction is this Hand Made Modernist Danish Ceramic Round Flower Ring.  Ring probably dates from the 1960's or 70's and is a fine example of Scandinavian Modern design.  Ring is comprised of a Metal band with a Round Ceramic Flower which is beautifully painted and is marked CUB Denmark.  It is a unique design and has substantial weight and is very striking.  Ring is in brand new condition and has never been worn.  The ring size is 6/7, which appears to be adjustable seeing that the ring is open on the bottom and it measures 25mm around.

 

I just recently acquired quite a lot of this designer’s pewter jewelry. It was found in the attic of my mother’s house. The story is that my uncle, who owned the house before my mother, purchased a large lot of this jewelry brand new at an AMMEX located in Canada in the early 1960’s. He never did anything with it and has sense passed. We just discovered it in the attic this winter. Everything we found is brand new in the original packaging.
