This is a vintage Colclough Bone China Teacup, Saucer and Side Plate that was made in England. Colclough started production of the Amaretto Pattern Number 7906 in 1961. Colclough's parent company is Ridgway Potteries Ltd. The gold gilding is in very good condition and on the teacups rim, handle and footed base, and on the scalloped rim of the saucer and side plate. Inside the teacup is a single burgandy rose with two leaves and stem with thorns. There are two large roses, one burgandy and one white with pink highlights on the front of the teacup. There are green and gray leaves and green stems with thorns. On the back of the teacup is a single burgandy rose. The saucer has a slightly scalloped rim and displays the two large roses, along with the small and medium rose. The side plate has a more detailed scalloped rim and the same rose designs. Both have the same detail to the leaves and stems with thorns. There are a few tiny white dots in the burgandy roses and a spot under the side plate without glaze. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs to these pieces. The teacup measures 3 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches across not including the handle and 1 3/4 inches across the bottom of the footed base. The saucer measures 5 1/2 inches across and the side plate measures 6 1/2 inches across. This would make a lovely addition to a teacup, saucer and side plate collection or to gift to someone special as a gift. Please see pictures before bidding.
