C&C Seltzer Bottle
Description:
This is a great looking vintage glass seltzer bottle
from Cantrell & Cochrane, the Irish soda and spirits company. The glass is
faceted and has the company design etched on the outside. It reads "Cantrell
& Cochrane" on the top and "C&C" near the middle. There is a ribbon at
the top and a floral design below it. The design is repeated on the other side
and there is also a C&C in a circle between them. The bottom of the bottle
has a raised design that looks like an "E" inside of a double rectangle. It also
reads "Reg. No. 729528". The top of the bottle has its original red and white
plastic spout. It is marked "Cantrell & Cochrane Ltd.". It also has a small
circular mark that reads "B&S" and "British Syphon Co. Ltd."
The bottle measures aprox. 13" high.
Condition:
The bottle has some usage wear. There is a fair bit
of table wear on the bottom and a number of small nicks and flakes on the
body. No cracks or large chips. The bottle still looks great.
