Vintage A Andersen Danish 3 Circle Pewter 7½? Bracelet





Vintage Danish Modernist Four Bars Pewter 7” Bracelet

 

Up for auction is this Large Modernist Danish Bracelet by what I believe to be the designer Anders Andersen. Bracelet probably dates from the 1950's or 60's and is a fine example of Scandinavian Modern design. Bracelet is hand wrought in pewter, rough-hewn by design and is marked A.A. Denmark with a small circle above the first A. It is comprised of four 2” forks that are thick and heavy.  Each link is slightly convex and hinged together. Bracelet is in brand new condition. It measures 7", including hook and bar clasp.

 

I just recently acquired quite a lot of this designer’s pewter jewelry. It was found in the attic of my mother’s house. The story is that my uncle, who owned the house before my mother, purchased a large lot of this jewelry brand new at an AMMEX located in Canada in the early 1960’s. He never did anything with it and has sense passed. We just discovered it in the attic this winter. Everything we found is brand new in the original packaging.

 

I was able to find some of the bracelets I have by this designer on the internet, at www.goantiques.com one is going for $155.00 and others on eBay with a reserve of $100.00. I’m not trying to strike it rich, so I am not putting any reserve on this auction.
