Here I have a Vintage 1964 Pelouze Postal Scale Model Y-50 Up To 50Lbs up for sale or auction.

This belonged to my dad who worked at the Post Office and it was given to him when the postage changed. My feedback speaks for itself. Buy with confidence. This Postal Scale is in excellent for being over 45 years old. It has some surface rust on it as you can see on the pictures. I do not change or alter old items because many people like them that way. They can restore them themselves to give them a feeling of accomplishment or leave them as it is. This Pelouze scale is Model Y-50 and was made in Evanston, Illinois. The face is in excellent condition with everything readable and reads, Rates April 1, 1964 and Capacity 50 Pounds. It weighs in 2 ounce increments up to 50 pounds. The Copyright is 1950, Pat. 2653565 and it says Not Legal For Trade. It says Pelouze in the metal on both side and on top and written on the face. This is not a glass front and it reads, Not Glass and Unbreakable. This would definitely be a collectors item for those that collect postal or regular scales. The face needs to be wiped off due to something sticky or possible scrapes from usage. You cannot feel the so called scrapes and it does not interfere with being able to read everything on the face of the scale. As you can see on the pictures the face looks very clear. The size of this scale is 8 1/2" tall, 6 5/8" wide and 6 3/8" deep.
