If you are interested in bidding on other items, payment may be delayed until you are finished bidding so that shipping can be combined. If you do not have a Paypal account, please feel free to contact me to discuss payment. Payment is appreciated within 30 days or by the end of the month, if more time is needed, please contact me.
Please note that when paying by eCheck, PayPal holds funds for approximately 4 business days for U.S. customers and 7-10 business days for international. Payment is not considered received and items are not shipped until payment has cleared.
I make every effort to describe items as accurately as possible and provide as many pictures of the item(s) as possible. I check each item prior to listing so that I can provide an accurate description of its condition and any defects. I do not list incomplete pattern books and will include photocopies of any missing pages with the publication (which will be mentioned in the auction description). However, I am not perfect and can overlook a defect, so please bring any problems to my attention so that an acceptable solution can be worked out. You can buy with confidence that I stand behind my auctions to guarantee your satisfaction.
Please contact me with ANY questions you may have prior to purchasing or bidding on an item. I respond to all inquiries within 24 hours and will gladly answer any questions/provide any details I can.
Note: New postage rates are now in effect as of 5/11/2009 for Media Mail rates and domestic First Class Mail and First Class International Mail. Domestic first class rates will increase from 42 to 44 cents for the first ounce, additional ounces will remain at 17 cents. International rates depend on the destination: Canada and Mexico each have their own rates, and other countries are being grouped in ten zones. Rates in effect as of 1/19/09 for Priority Mail (regular and Flat Rate) will not change. These rates are reflected in the Shipping Calculator.
Items are almost always shipped the same day payment is received, or the next business day if paid on a weekend or holiday or after business hours on a weekday. I deliver packages to the post office for shipment on a daily basis (including Saturdays until 1:30 p.m.).
Insurance is offered as an optional add-on for all domestic (within the U.S.) shipments.
I combine items and will discount shipping when items are invoiced, paid and shipped as one transaction. For a single purchase, please use the shipping calculator button to find out what the total shipping charges will be. The shipping calculator is accurate for single purchases but not for multiple purchases. Please wait for an invoice. I use Paypal Shipping; shipping charges include Delivery Confirmation (not available with First Class International only).
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS please select your country in the 'Shipping and Handling' section below for rates.
I can ship items to most countries in a Flat Rate Priority Envelope for $12.30 ($10.40 to Canada and Mexico) (max. weight 4 lb.) or a Flat Rate Priority Box for $39.85 (max weight 20 lbs.). A Flat Rate Priority Envelope will generally hold four or five standard size magazines. Some magazines are larger than the average modern magazine, which may limit the number of magazines that will fit in a Flat Rate Envelope. Hardback books also are likely to take up more space.
First Class International rates vary from country to country but are based on weight and are usually cheaper than Priority International if the shipping weight is less than 1 pound (450 g). According to the U.S. Post Office, the shipping time is the same – 8 to 10 business days. Since Priority Mail is not delivered faster, First Class International may be a better choice for a single magazine.
Insurance Terms:
U.S. Buyers: Please remember that I cannot be responsible for any loss or damage that occurs after item is mailed. Insurance is optional for items but is recommended for any shipment with a total value of $50.00 or more. Fees are based on the declared value of the contents. The fees for insurance on domestic shipments are $1.75 up to $50 and $2.25 up to $100.
International Buyers: Indemnity coverage is automatically included for all ordinary Priority Mail International items (FLAT RATE ENVELOPE IS NOT INCLUDED). This coverage is provided by the Post Office at no additional charge and protects international buyers against loss, damage or missing contents. Coverage is calculated based on the weight of the parcel and not on the value of the contents of the parcel. Buyers may purchase insurance for a fee to many countries. When insurance is purchased, it replaces the indemnity coverage provided on ordinary Priority Mail International. Delivery Confirmation is provided on Priority International Mail but is not available with First Class International Mail.
The insurance fees that apply to Priority Mail International packages are: Canada: $1.75 up to $50 and $2.25 up to $100. All Other Countries: $2.50 up to $50 and $3.40 up to $100.
