VINTAGE 1950's BOMBSHELL DRESS & JACKET
Here is a vintage 1950's bombshell dress with a separate, matching, jacket. The fabric is a honeyed gold brocade. Both the dress and jacket are fully lined.This is a fabulously sexy dress but it does have a some small flaws, not surprising given its age, which I will describe.
This knockout, vintage, bombshell of a dress has a V shaped neckline. The slim fitting skirt is pencil shaped. The dress closes to the back with a metal zip and comes with a separate, stiffened, fabric belt. The belt has a little black mark on the bow at the front. There is some slight underarm discolouration and a couple of small rust marks on the back of the skirt, near the hemline - see photos below. Apart from these small flaws, the dress is in good condition.
The little bolero jacket is open style, lined, and has 3/4 length sleeves.

We have moved to France where postage is more expensive. This is made worse by the crud exchange rate. Please bear this in mind. I would like to add that I am NOT adding on any extras and, in many cases, am in fact subsidising the cost.
I would recommend that parcels are posted Priority and Insured. This means we are both covered in case of loss. There are cheaper, and slower, rates but if the parcel gets lost one cannot claim any reimbursement. I have listed the various options below.
Condition:- Good vintage condition. There are some relatively minor flaws, See description above for details.

Measurements
The measurements are taken with the garment laid flat, measured from side to side, and doubled.
Tip: to assess sizing, measure a garment you are comfortable in, in this fashion and compare to the measurements given below.
Do allow room for movement. If you are, for example, a size 36 bust, you will need a garment that is bigger than 36 inches.

- Chest:- 36 inches
- Waist:- 25 inches
- Hips:- 38 inches
- Length shoulder to waist is 15 inches
- Length of skirt is 21 inches
- JACKET
- Length of underarm seam is 9 3/4 inches
- Length shoulder to hem is 15 1/4 inches

Please note also that, as the vintage clothes are old (some even may be home made) sizing is not standard and I do recommend you get out your tape measure and compare those measurements given with something similar that you wear.
Please note that vintage garments may not have been washed. I do not get coats, suits or jackets dry cleaned (it would vastly increase the price) and you might wish to get this done before you wear your unique, vintage purchase. I know I always do!
