Very Staffordshire Mantle dog or Wally Dog in style, dating to the 1930's

Here for sale to all you dog lovers, is the most lovable, charming ceramic dog, she is seeking a loving new home and owner!.

This lovely tall sleek dog, date to the 1930's. ~ All true followers of the Art Deco Style in the Thirties, only wanted sleek, stream lined items in their life. Dogs were no exception to this rule. Afghan Hounds and Lurcher's being very sleek looking breeds, fitted the fashion of streamlining really well. Hence their popularity with the elegant Ladies of the Day..

Made of earthenware, stamped to the base with the makers marking, although this stamp is not generally clear, so hopefully some collector will recognise the maker. Handpainted and glazed in a high gloss glaze.. You truly will not be disappointed to add this beautiful model to your collection!

This dogs stand 11.1/2" inches tall x 8" inches wide.

CONDITION: there are no chips, cracks or breaks to the main body... There is some light age related glaze crazing which in usually found on old glazed items, and one extremely faint scratch line on the right ear, as I've pictured (pic.6) ~ But to be honest and truthful, one can hardly notice this mark.

*Unpacked actual weight 1270g (Final weight once securely packed liable to be 1850g therefore the fully Insured and recorded postal charge shown is the exact price required at the post office to post this weight)

WITHIN THE U.K. I aim to dispatch goods early on a non strike day via Royal Mail, the postal costs which I have quoted on my listings have been obtained from the Royal Mails website for the packed weight as shown.. *Should a buyer require faster delivery, say on a Strike day, or if it comes to a Point in this dispute where the only option for United Kingdom delivery is by using 'Parcel Force' then any stated postal quotes may need unfortunately to be increased ~The minimum Parcel Force charges are £10.50 for small LIGHT PARCELS or £12.50 for larger items~ ~ I humbly request if buyers would show understanding during this current postal dispute and the problems that Strike action causes for sellers trying to arrange deliveries. .. Your parcel will definitely reach you! ~ but unfortunately maybe not as quickly as you or I would wish
