This is a gorgeous vintage shawl dating I guess from the 1920s or 1930s. It is one meter square with long silky knotted fringing. ( 22" or 55cm long) The embroidery is machine done in silky thread in shades of deep coral, red and green. I cannot identify the fabric. I do not think it is silk although it is very light and has a slight gloss. It could be rayon. The shawl is in very good vintage condition.
