Nice thing this, made by the well known Birmingham firm of Tonks, I had a pair of these and sold the other one some time ago, as with a lot of my listings this came from the Victorian servants wing part of a long ago demolished manor house that my father had the contract for, and He was able to strip everything worthwhile prior to the demolition.

I ended up with a lot of it when I was restoring my Victorian house, but these things I'm not in need of now.

When closed this is about 3 inches long, it is covered in paint but would very easily scrub up to beautifully shiny brass.
