Victorian Satin Birch Occasional / Wine Table ca 1860

This beautiful antique Victorian Satin Birch occasional / wine table has an oval top above a beautiful turned pedestal and stands on tripod scrolled legs. The base has a minor old repair. The piece is a rich golden satin birch colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Items of this age and quality are becoming very rare to find and they are not just a beautiful piece of furniture but also a very good investment. A piece of furniture of this quality should sell for around £800. In a London antique shop it would have a price tag of well over £1000.
