Stunning Victorian pitch pine Arts & Crafts Aesthetic wardrobe. In the Charles Eastlake style, the wardrobe has a double architectural pediment. The pine has a wonderful grain and the wardrobe is beautifully stencilled in black ink with stylised foliage and swags. To the base is a shaped apron and splayed feet. To the right hand section are two base drawers with four pull out linen trays above. The left hand section has a shoe box to the base with a hanging section above. There are knocks to the wood commensurate for age and the latch does not locate into it's housing, however the door still holds in place when closed. Overall this rare and beautifully designed Victorian wardrobe is in very good condition. Separates into four sections for transportation.
