Victorian Original Stripped Pine Pair Of Cupboard Doors

This is a lovely pair of Victorian reclaimed pine doors. Nice condition.

Could be used for a built-in cupboard or maybe as a bifold doorway?

They have been professionally stripped of the old paint and varnish.

They can be waxed or varnished or painted as you like.

These doors were made by skilled carpenters and have strong mortice and tenon joints. They are not just glued together like a modern door. Obviously they have signs of age and use. If you are looking for a brand new looking door please look elsewhere.

You are welcome to come into our workshop to see the doors (800+ original doors available) Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm and pick out any other doors that you want. Email me for the address.

These doors can accomodate a certain amount adjustment (i.e cutting down) if required. Alternatively, it is easy to add a strip of pine to the top or bottom to increase the height of the doors.

Our courier:

We can bubble-wrap this door and send via NightFreight to any England or Wales address (may be more expensive if scotland - ask before buying please), for a fixed price of £29.99 per door. This usually proves to be the cheapest option if you are buying a single door. If buying several doors then a courier such as listed below may work out cheaper, but you need to arrange it yourself. Our £29.99 price is for a 3 day service - that means you will recieve the door within 3 working days from when it leaves our workshop.

Abbey Antiques (0870 7707630), they deliver all over England. They have very good rates for transporting doors around the country - they are nothing to do with my company so any dealings you have with them (or any other courrier) are not my responsibility.

Eazimove (01432 273535) cover whole of UK also.

We do not package doors as most of the couriers that collect from us wrap doors in blankets when on their van. However, we can bubble-wrap a door for a fee of £10 - please give us notice if you would like this. (If we send via NightFreight the bubble-wrapping cost is included in the £29.99).

Collection and Payment

The doors are available to view or collect Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Payment on collection (please call first), alternatively cheque (must clear before collecting the doors), or PayPal.

If you buy this items I will expect full payment within 7 days, and collection within 14 days. Items not collected within this time may incur a storage charge of 10% per week or part week, if not previously discussed with us. Please call us if you cannot collect within 2 weeks and we will do our best to help.

Although my description is as accurate as possible please remember, this item is old - often more than 100 years old. It has hallmarks of age and use. All old reclaimed doors may have scratches, pin holes, evidence of (old) woodworm (this is always treated during the stripping process), and areas that may need to be filled e.g. where old locks were fitted. These marks add to the character and this is the reason, along with the high quality of consruction (e.g. strong mortice and tenon joints), that people buy reclaimed and salvaged doors in the first place. Sometimes old doors may have some scortch marks on from where they have been stripped in the past with a heat gun etc. Please note that the buyer pays all postage and packaging costs. All payments need to clear before item can be sent /collected. I am always happy to answer any emails from prospective bidders but please allow 24 hours for a reply.
