A really nice crude early Case Gin Bottle with a crudly blown and applied lip (see picture) hence there are lots of large bubbles and defects to the glass but not damage. D.ated to about 1880-1900 or possibly a little earlier Termed I think black glass relating to early darkly coloured bottles with a hint of brown when held up to the light. Nice condition considering age with just a few minor scratches to the lip and a small circular scuff which may just be part of the crudness of the bottle rather than a defect as such. Embossed on the bottom of the bottle with a large raised cross and 4 dots An interesting bottle for any collector No returns
