Here is a Victorian Black Forest Cuckoo Clock Movement.

The movement is a very early example consisting of wooden plates (see photos)

The movement measures (plate dimensions) 5 ½ inches high by 5 ¼inches wide by 3 ½ inches deep.

The movement has wooden plates that have brass bushed pivot holes, the striking/cuckoo going train are driven by chains and weights

The movement has levers to actuate two bellows and also an arm with a hammer to strike on a gong or bell.

The cuckoo is fully articulated and flaps its wing and opens its beak.

The movement looks to be complete, all wheels, pinions and pivots are good.

Please note no key, no chains, no weights or pendulum are supplied.

The movement would make an excellent project if you are building or repairing a vintage Cuckoo Clock.

The movement is quite early and dates to around 1860-80 and would have been made in the Black Forest region of Austria.

Postage to anywhere in the UK is £6.50
