This is a very pretty good quality silver basket hallmarked 1927 and by the good Sheffield makers James Deakin & Sons. The basket is 5 1/2" in diameter and weighs 4 oz.

The basket has shaped sides with vertical piercings in six places, each with a four leaf design in a circle. It has a wavy top and three lovely long scrolled feet.

Condition: Excellent. There are no dents splits or repairs and hardly any scratching. There is one tiny nick in the bottom. There are no breaks to the piercing. The basket stands on its feet without a wobble.

Dimensions: 5 1/2" (14 cm) in diameter and 2 3/4" (6.5 cm) tall
