A superb pair of rare 19thc Victorian cast iron door finger plates. The casting on these is unbelievably crisp and clean. Both showing the same scene of a Great Blue Heron wading amongst reeds in a river catching and eating fish.In as good condition as the day they were first cast.A very decorative item in their own right.Measuring 10 3/4" in length and just over 3 1/4" wide. The first photo was taken without flash and is the closest colour to the plates. |
