- Enhances the comfort of shooting with the camera, offers better grip and makes shooting with the camera in a vertical position much more convenient (shutter release buttons come on both sides of the grip- for right- and left-handed people),

- increases the time you can take photos without replacing batteries. It is possible to use one or two PS-BLM-1 rechargeable batteries (double the amount of shots) as well as other types (Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc.- see the list below). Moreover, you may use 12 (or 6) AA rechargeable batteries (additional holder required for AA batteries).
