This is a stunning antique vellum indenture, dating back to a historic past that is now lost to us. A piece of social history, this is vellum with long-handed details possibly written with a quill pen. It is also in english, but old english that is now unused.

The document is 78cm x 58cm and relates to a lease of arable land in Copthorne, dated 15th Feb 1765. It has 2 wax seals on the bottom of the assignment deed.

With red wax seals and the rich visual texture of vellum this will look wonderful framed, as a feature in your home that will be a talking point for all your guests.
