This is a stunning antique vellum indenture, dating back to a historic past that is now lost to us. A piece of social history, this is vellum with long-handed details possibly written with a quill pen. It is also in english, but old english that is now unused.

The document is 71cm x 60cm and relates to Upper Clapton, Middlesex, dated 18th November 1884. It is a 2 page document, has a wax seal on the bottom of the assignment deed, and has attached map and receipts for 2 cottages and a house with fixtures and 'stock in trade' so presumably a business.

With red wax seals and the rich visual texture of vellum this will look wonderful framed, as a feature in your home that will be a talking point for all your guests.
