For sale is my VW T5 which I purchased to convert into a campervan

The only reason I am selling is because I massively under estimated the cost of a quality conversion to a camper

As the Rib seat / bed and pop top roof alone will cost me £6000 to be fitted without the cooking facilities and electrics and windows etc etc etc

And sadly I just cannot afford it on top of the price of this vehicle

And because the van is so as new I will not have a cheap conversion done as it would not do it justice.

In fact when I took the vehicle to a local VW camper conversion specialist to be viewed for conversion

They said we are going to have a problem converting it without touching it

As they had never seen one as clean and pristine as this one

This T5 is probably the closest you will get to a new van as it has only covered 2,500 miles from new and was always garaged with a vehicle cover over it

It is pristine, and has to be seen to be believed.

Prior to ownership by me it had never been out in the rain,

 It truly is as it would have come out of the show room

If not better

The colour well in my view the best colour to have obviously

Metallic Raven blue

Absolutely Stunning

With all the extras it has it would probably cost in the region of £24,000.00 plus to buy this van brand new from a dealership to this specification you work it out

Just the basic Plain Panel van will cost you

 £21,000.00  inc VAT

You add the extras on and see what I mean

The T5 is totally colour coded and has the additional Caravelle protective colour coded side mouldings which is rare to see

Also colour coded rear spoiler

It has genuine VW 17” Solace alloy wheels with Michelin tyres

Front and rear mud flaps are fitted

It has the addition of a comfort pack which consists of :

Carpeted front cab floor still with clear protective covering never removed from new, incredible

Sunglasses holder

Map reading light

Two tone horn

Extra cab soundproofing

 Electric tilt and slide sunroof

Interior light console

Front window wind deflectors

It has the electric pack windows and electric mirror adjustment

It has the addition of Cruise control fitted

It also has the VW alarm system fitted which has cab protection and tow away facility alarm

It also has 2 captain chairs in the front with arm rests

It has had genuine VW caravelles headlamps and rear lights fitted

Which really does look the part

Also has front fog lights fitted

It has the front chrome grills fitted upper and lower,

Again stunning

The rear of the T5 has been totally carpeted in black and grey and done to a very professional standard indeed

It has a Genuine VW twin seat fitted in the rear area in the same material as front seats to match

Also behind the rear seat is a storage chest also carpeted externaly

There is also a large storage – luggage area in the rear when back doors are opened

There are 2 x 12v supplies fitted in the rear of the vehicle as well as a space for a leisure battery to be housed

The sound system fitted is a

Kenwood compact disk auto changer

10 Disk

Model – KDC – C711

The speakers fitted are Alpine

The sound is stunning

As you can see no expense spared on quality here

The T5 has had 1 service in the service book

As the onboard computer states when to service

In this case it was the time scale passed and not the mileage done

It had a long life oil change done as stamped in the service book even though it had not done hardly any mileage

Anybody who takes the time to view this T5 will certainly buy this T5 as I don’t think

other than buying a brand new one  

that you will find one so stunning and as new condition

I searched for months and months to find a donor vehicle to convert and will never find one as good as this T5

But finances will not allow me to have such a vehicle converted

Should have done my conversion research first

( Lesson learnt )

So I will be buying a T5 with higher mileage no doubt ?

And god forbid a white one

to convert to a camper and keep the price within our budget on a completed project

Will be very sad to part with this T5

but I have to be practical and keep within our budget for a camper
