If you require more than one CV boot for your vehicle we supply Slide-a-Boot kits with all the items you require except the fitting cone as you can re-use the cone several times.

To replace a CV boot on a vehicle there are basically 3 options available:

Option 1     REPLACE WITH A REGULAR CV BOOT 

Advantage:  High quality boot and long lasting repair.  Disadvantage:  Requires a CV joint to be removed from the shaft and often the shaft having to be removed from the gearbox.  This can often be quite a time consuming repair.

Option 2    REPLACE WITH A STICK-TOGETHER CV BOOT 

Advantage:  Quick repair.  Disadvantage:  In practice it is almost impossible to maintain enough cleanliness to successfully glue together the seam of the boot.  This method is also unlikely to give you a long-lasting repair.

Option 3    REPLACE WITH A STRETCH CV BOOT 

Advantage:  High quality boot, long-lasting repair, much easier to fit than a standard CV boot.  This is a method that many professional mechanics use due to cost and time saving advantages.  Disadvantage:  Requires either a fitting cone or air-powered tool to stretch the boot over the CV joint.

• 1 high quality universal stretch CV boot
• 1 sachet of CV joint grease
• 1 portion of specially formulated cone lube to ease fitting of boot  (most suppliers of stretch CV boots do not include this important item)
• 1 long and 1 short nylon tie*
• 1 long and 1 short roller ball stainless steel ties* (no special tools required to fit)
• 1 fitting cone
• 1 instruction sheet

* the kit includes both stainless steel and nylon ties in order that you can fit whichever one you prefer

The Slide-a-Boot range of stretch drive shaft boots has been designed to fit the majority of cars either by standard strip-down fitting, stretching over a cone or stretching on air-powered fitting tools.

This is an extremely high quality product, much thicker than many such products available and when fitted to the vehicle has the appearance and qualities of an original equipment boot with the added advantage of being easier to fit using the fitting cone or air powered fitting tool.
