VW Camper Van, High Top Reimo conversion 1.6diesel

Here is our VW Camper van.

It is for sale due to all of the usual family, life and recession issues, we can't really afford to run a second car.

This was due to be our on-going restoration project but three years down the road we haven't gotten around to doing much so can't justify keeping her any more :(

We have had good times in this van and we still do the school run and shopping in her so it is driven just about daily.

It has a 1.6 turbo diesel engine and therefore has a reasonable mpg we think, and will easily sit at 60/70 on the motorway but is a bit sluggish uphill but that is to be expected with a camper really

It is a Reimo conversion and has

sink

water storage and pump

grey water stoage underneath

3 way fridge (although havent used this for very long time so unsure if working!)

Rock and Roll bed

Much storage in cupboards an under bed

Pull out bed in roof

rear seat belts

Rear facing 5th seat with seat belt

large Riemo tourmobile v xl awning - this really is a big awning and gives lots more space when camping

and any other camping bits and pieces we come across will be included

Now an honest description of the van

It needs some work so is a bit of a project for someone who is handy in that way. We have had various things done over the last couple of years when needed. Turbo rebuild, new silencer, tail pipe, front step welding for mot (the only welding needed so far) and have reciepts from previous owner for work done.

There are some issues with bits of bodywork as shown in the pictures but at the moment it is stuff that you could do yourself ,according to our garage. I kept meaning to do them but never got round to it- a familiar story Im sure

the interior is all there and working apart from a couple of cupboard door latches (easily replaceable from riemo) and the fabric could do with renewing-we were going to do it once all the kids were older.

We want to be honest in our description so we are not selling a pristine camper here, it smokes a bit when starting and up hills and needs some tlc but its not a huge complicated project to ensure that she stays on the road and gives years of fun out camping and so on.
