Vogue Knitting book number 36 probably late 1940's early 1950's.
The condition of the book is quite good considering its age. The top of the front and back cover have torn about 2" down along the spine and the spine is quite crinkled all along it with a tiny bit of a tear in the middle and a small tear and a tiny bit missing from the bottom.
It appears that the front page is coming away a little from the rest of the book but this is not so. I think someone has folded the page down and it has slightly come unstuck from near where the staples are. The staples are not rusty and the rest of the book is tight.
There is some very mild corner and edge scuffing with a tiny tear and signs of a surface crease on the right hand front and a crease from the middle to the top on the left hand side of the back. Neither creases are tight folded down ones. There is a little pink mark on the ladies left leg.
The internal pages are fine with just minor yellow ageing around the outside.
I have been extremely picky as I would say overall it is in quite good condition apart from the top tear.
It containes the most wonderful patterns - sophisticated separates, pearl evening blouse, chevron dinner blouse, picot edged angora sweater, moss striped blouse, blouse with plunging neckline, square yoked blouse, beaded blouse, diamond embroidered blouse, jumper and skirt, polka dot skirt and top, permanent pleats shirt top and skirt, mock tucking blouse and skirt, scroll edges two piece dress, waistcoat, two piece suit, sweater and shorts, country wear separates, box pleated shirt blouse, blouse with ribbed yoke and spotted rib cardigan. Men's patterns include jacquard rib pullover and diamond patterned pullover, ribbed sweater, checks and clox socks and cable socks. Also, junior knitwear including raglan sleeved jumper and cardigan. There are several other patterns not mentioned. When the book uses the term 'blouse' it actually means a knitted item.
