A: Easy. All you do is phone up THE NETWORK and tell them that you would like to transfer the number to another Network. They will then issue you with a PAC code. You then give this PAC code to your new chosen Network (e.g. Orange / 02 / T-Mobile / 3G / Virgin / Vodafone / Tesco / Easy Mobile) and its all done - you can move to contract or Pay As You Go. This process is known as 'porting'. It is also a process that is free - there is no charge as you are doing a favour for your new chosen network.
