VINTAGE MITCHELL WOODBURY CO. LAMBERTON PATTERN DEMITASSE CUP

If you collect demitasse cups, or vintage Restaurant/Hotel china, you may want to look closely at this wonderful little cup.

It measures 2 3/16 inches tall, and is 2 1/2 inches wide. It has a flake off the base ring, that looks (under magnification) factory related. No other damage noted.

The cup was made by the Mitchell Woodbury Pottery Company of Boston Mass. The pattern (I believe) is called Lamberton. The back stamp reads."Made Expressly for the Riverbank Court Hotel". I couldn't find much on Mitchell Woodbury, but the Riverside Court Hotel is very well known. No longer a Hotel; Riverside Court was converted in 1937 to the MIT Ashdown House. It's a residence for MIT graduate students. I believe the cup is much older than 1937.

You can find anything from Antique Cast Iron Skillets to Military Flight Jackets. We're also a great source of vintage Pyrex and Corelle as well. Drop in and take a look around.
