VINTAGE UZBEK ART CAPE - DRESS KALTACHA FROM SAMARKAND

Since ancient times Uzbek traditional clothes had a rich various patterns, colours and fabrics. It were easy to determine the age, the sex, position in society,of the owner of dress.. One of the most important Uzbek women's clothes were Kaltacha. It were used as traditional cape dress for a women and took a very special value in a daily life of uzbek women.. There were a variety of fabrics, patterns and designs of Uzbek Traditional Kaltacha. But each one article is a unique sample of Uzbek traditional clothes.

The present item is one of the old Kaltacha traditional cape dress from Samarkand. It is unique sample for collectors of Asian old clothes. Handmade embroidered on cotton fabric foundation. The age is about end of 20 th century. This Kaltacha is decorated with handmade silk embroidered band and old buttons. The sleeves were not used they were for delusion.
The size from top to bottom is 44 inches.. Condition is vintage.

This beautiful Uzbek tradition clothes Kaltacha is a worthy collectable sample. Keep on watching my next items in auctions !!!
