A great clockwork tin plate car, dating from the 1940's, I would guess from the style.
It is called 'The Wonder Car' because-
wind it up, put it on the table and watch it go around the table, never falling off!
It works, too - I've tried it!
It has a clever arrangement of 3 metal wheels and 1 rubber one, with a wheel across the centre which is driven by the motor. Combined, they turn the car away from the edge of the table.
It has 'Made In England' in a circle on the underside but there is no makers name on box or car.
The car is 5 1/2'' / 14 cm long and comes with key.
As you can see,the box is tatty but the car is in very good working condition. It has some very light scratches - too fine to photograph, particularly on the underside.

The only UK postage which insures against breakage of china is Special Delivery.
We normally use Royal Mail (www.royalmail.com) and Parcel Force (www.parcelforce.com) for shipping.
We can only accept payment in pounds sterling.
Paypal users - to remain within paypal buyer and seller protection we can only ship to a confirmed address.
Your currency can be converted to pounds via paypal who will charge us, but not you, a fee.
We accept Bank Transfer, Paypal, and GB£ personal cheques, GB£ Postal Orders, GB£ Travellers cheques, GB£ International money orders.
Please note -we cannot mail out on Saturdays except by prior arrangement. We do not work on Sundays though we do try to answer questions received.
