This piece came from my great aunt's estate that I acquired several years ago. I always like to tell potential buyers a little bit about my aunt because I think it's interesting and it also gives me the ability to brag on who she was. My aunt was the first nurse to be promoted to Brig. General in the USAF. She was a magnificent woman and was way beyond her time. During my aunt's career she traveled all over the world.  Due to having to downsize I must get rid of a lot of her things. I have found that the winners of her items are asking for her bio (which I will email upon request) and are spreading her story. This has been the greatest adventure I have taken - instead of her items being boxed away, they are being admired and her legacy is being spread across the world. I can't thank the Ebay buyers enough for this.

My aunt was stationed in Japan in the 1960's and many of her items are from there. This magnificent lighter is marked "Japan" so I am pretty sure she acquired it there during her tour of duty. It is made out of metal (I think is brass) - it could use some polishing but other than that it is in excellent condition. The lighter has no fluid in it but works. It is definetly a conversation piece and would be a wonderful addition to anybody's collection.
