IN ENGLAND ACTIVE OVER 100 YEARS AGO.

I COULD NOT FIND INFORMATION ABOUT CURRENT STATUS.

THESE STAMPED WORDS ARE ON THIS TEAPOT’S BASE …

“THE ALEX CLARK COMPANY LTD LONDON” … “WARRANTED HARD

SOLDERED” … AND “2” IS STAMPED ON THE BOTTOM LEFT SIDE

OF THE BASE RIM … THERE ARE NO OTHER MFG MARKS.

COMPANY WERE FOUND UNDER THE INTERNET

HEADING “ENGLISH ELECTROPLATE SILVER.”

IF THIS INTERESTING METAL TEAPOT WAS INDEED MADE

BY THE ALEXANDER CLARK MANUFACTURING CO LTD

of London, the following information might apply:

“Business established by Clift Alexander Mawer Clark in 1891 at 138 Fenchurch Street, London. Manufacturing premises were opened in 1894 at 29 Market Place, Oxford Street. In 1900 the firm secured the use of Welbeck Works, Sheffield transferred in 1918 to James Street Works, St. Paul's, Birmingham. The firm was converted in 1912 in a limited liability company as the Alexander Clark Co Ltd”.

THIS GRACEFUL ENGLISH TEAPOT HAS THE LOOK AND

PATINA OF AGE, YET IS STILL FULLY USABLE TODAY.

IT STANDS 6 INCHES HIGH AND HAS THE SECURITY

OF ITS WIDE 3 INCH DIAMETER BASE TO PREVENT

TIPPING AND SPILLS. THERE ARE A FEW DENTS

WHICH WOULD INDICATE USAGE IN THE PAST.

I DO NOT NOTICE RUB-THROUGHS, OR DEEP SCRATCHES,

OR THIN SPOTS IN THE SMOOTH  METAL  (except for one

short narrow strip near the bottom seam.)  THIS VINTAGE

TEAPOT SHOULD CLEAN TO A BEAUTIFUL SOFT SHEEN.

HEAVY  CRAFTED METALWARE … NO REPAIRS … VERY

STURDY YET ELEGANT TOP HINGE. THE TOP LID’S BALL

HANDLE IS SOLIDLY MOUNTED, NOT LOOSE OR WEAK.

THE QUALITY HOLLOW VENTILATED CURVED HANDLE

HAS AT LEAST 16 FABRICATED TINY HOLES FOR

HEAT DISPERSAL, AND THE TOP LID HAS A DISCRETE

AND CONVENIENT STEAM RELEASE VENT OPENING.

THIS WILL MAKE A GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION …
