And, contrary to popular belief, This pair  was not only produced in 1987, celebrating B&L's 50th Anniversary, was so popular with consumers and so much in demand that, Ray-Ban Brush & Lomb decided to continue production of The General each year in limited release, up until early-to-mid 90's. So there are different versions of This pair, different fonts, different sunglass cases, considered a specialty line to commemorate 50 years of Bausch & Lomb
