Shipping

We generally use Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded & Standard postal services for the UK & Airmail/ Airsure for overseas. If you need your item sent 1st Class you can chose this at the checkout. Items weighing over 1kg are always posted First Class. Items over a certain price are sent only by Recorded Delivery. Many listings have a free domestic postage option.

We combine postage on multiple items for listings that have postage charges. If you are interested in more than one of our items that have a postage charge, please contact us for a combined postage & packing discount before purchase; or if you do not do this & purchase multiple items, please wait for us to invoice you with the correct postage total before payment.

For heavy, large or more valuable items we use either Royal Mail Standard Parcels (sometimes with enhanced compensation) or Special Delivery within the UK & International Signed For or Airsure for overseas. Some items require a courier service & if this is necessary it will be stated in the listing. All items are weighed before listing to ensure customers get the best value possible. A small packing fee is included in the total P&P price. We accept no liability for the efficiency or otherwise of the postal services. We always obtain proof of posting & keep receipts and certificates until positive feedback is received.

All items are dispatched within two working days of receiving cleared payment. The majority are dispatched within 24 hours. We will post Worldwide to Australia & the Far East. Please contact us for a quote before purchase. We do not post to the U.S.A or Canada. For larger, more valuable items that require a Courier service, we ship to UK addresses only.

Payments

Pick up or post after payment received only. Payment to be received within 7 days of purchase. PayPal accepted. Personal cheques & Postal Orders also accepted from UK buyers. Please make personal cheques and Postal Orders payable to The French Attic. Please allow 5 working days for cheque clearance (longer for echeques) before your items will be dispatched.

Returns

Returns accepted within 14 days of receipt of goods. The buyer is to be responsible for the safe returning of the item in its original, unused condition (including packaging & any labels or tags still attached) & for the full cost of return postage using a Recorded Signed For service (non-refundable). Please ensure that we are notified of intent to return an item within 3 working days of receipt of goods. Following satisfactory inspection & verification, a refund for the original item price paid plus original P&P cost will be issued.
